Henning Shop Trigger Pins |
The Tanoglio trigger can now be improved with the release of the new hardened, oversized hammer pin, sear pin and the hammer pin |
|
Introducing the Henning Hardened Hammer and Sear Pins. For years I have installed and used the EGW hammer and sears in my competition pistols. The prepped hammer and sears along with my XL Firing Pin and a 13lb hammer spring can give you a nice, crisp 2lb trigger with a short reset. Sometimes you get a nice feeling trigger just by dropping the parts in the and other times you need to bring out the stones and do some work. The sear does need to be fitted to the safety. To further improve on a great hammer and sear it is necessary to stabilize the parts in the frame. There are two major things to look at. The first, which has to be done by a gunsmith, is to secure the sear housing tightly to the frame. This has traditionally been done either by putting a couple of silver solder dabs on the side of the housing and filing them down until the sear housing slips into the frame tight. The other thing is to install hardened, oversized hammer and sear pins. Let's start with the sear pin.
